Amacho Wato news!

“Let us pick up our books and our pens. They are our most powerful weapons. One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world.”  ~Malala Yousafzai

Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Like this one, for example.

???????????????????????????????

The Amacho Wato School Learning Resources project is complete! Pictured is the newly-furnished study area, with 15 tables, 60 chairs, and of course 490 books. (Four bookshelves are still being built and will be delivered to the school shortly.)

The tables and chairs produced in a local workshop in neighbouring Doyogena town were delivered to the school this week…

???????????????????????????????

…and the new study area was set up!

To everyone who helped with this project – I can’t thank you enough. From Roots Ethiopia and Desta Sium of BestBridge, who got the ball rolling in the first place, to everyone who donated or gave auction items or shared posts or held fundraisers or told their friends about this school….. you truly have changed lives.  Thank you.
